Our Vision

I am a New Zealand immigration lawyer (Employed Barrister) specialising in relationship-based visas, including partnership visas and partner-of-a-worker or resident categories. Our practice is focused on providing clear, strategic legal advice to couples who want to understand their position before making important immigration decisions.

Partnership visas are among the most complex and discretionary visa categories in New Zealand immigration law. Decisions often turn on credibility, consistency, and the quality of evidence presented. Many couples underestimate how strictly Immigration New Zealand applies the “living together in genuine and stable relationship” test, particularly where there has been limited cohabitation, periods of separation, cultural differences, or prior immigration history.

We have developed a consultation-first approach because we believe good immigration outcomes start with understanding risk. Our consultations are designed to give clients a structured, honest assessment of their circumstances — identifying strengths, potential concerns, and the most appropriate pathway forward. Clients leave with a clear understanding of what applies to them, why it matters, and how best to proceed, even if they ultimately choose not to engage us for full representation.

Where appropriate, we provide end-to-end legal representation, from initial strategy and evidence preparation through to lodgement, correspondence with Immigration New Zealand, and interview or RFI responses. We work selectively and focus on cases where careful planning and legal judgment can materially affect the outcome.
